Margrit Rieben's interests cover all possible and impossible sound sources. Her own composing and sound installation are an important branch of her work, as are collaborations with dancers, performance artists, actors, and interaction with the spoken word and video.
She has collaborated with countless musicians and artists - among them:
Alfred Zimmerlin, Andrea Neumann, Claudia Binder, Cristin Wildbolz, Daniel Ludwig, Dirk Bruinsma, DJ A.D.I., Dorothea Schürch, Fredi Lüscher, Günter Müller, Hans Burgener, Hans Koch, Joëlle Léandre, Magda Vogel, Maggie Nicols, Marko Kosnik, Martin Schütz, Paed Conca, John Wolf Brennan, Saadet Türköz, Thierry Madiot, Urla Kahl, Yaira Yonne, Yoko Miura, Yuko Fujiyama,
She was a member of the S.I.O. (Swiss Improvisers Orchestra) and of Fritz Hauser's Schallmaschine.
Margrit Rieben has performed all over Europa and in Japan.
She is currently playing with TSUKI (trio with Hans Koch and Paed Conca),
BONES AND BATTERY (percussion duo with David Lerch)
and the two theatre groups EIGER MOENCH UND JUNGFRAU and
MATTERHORN PRODUCTION.
COOKING THE LOVERS is her solo project.
She organised 2005 and 2006 the festival weeks LEISE KURZKONZERTE in her living room.
